We select only 1 in 12 mentor applicants. Our hiring process includes: 

1. Screening for technical expertise—we look for professional and educational qualifications, as well as evidence of technical competence through portfolios and published work. 

2. Video interview—those who make it through the technical review are put through a video interview. Here, we assess for empathy, communication skills, and passion for their field. 

3. Guidance and training—mentors who make it through the video interview are provided with resources to enhance their mentorship skills.
